FIP JUNIORS RANKING PICK

Mario Brocal
Current FIP Juniors U14 Ranking – 1

Let’s start with a less obvious prospect — not every junior ends up becoming a professional champion. However, Mario’s dominance in his age group is so overwhelming that it’s impossible not to notice him. Born in 2011, he started playing padel at the age of four. By eight, he had already set himself a clear goal: to become the number one player in the world. Today, at 14, he regularly defeats even 16-year-old opponents.
He already has over 500 victories to his name and comfortably leads the FIP ranking for players under 14.
Mario has already signed a professional contract with Wilson, and it seems likely that within a few years, he’ll be ready to challenge the world’s best.

MIGUEL LAMPERTI’S PICK

Juani De Pascual
Current FIP Ranking – 150

Miguel Lamperti — a veteran of padel and the oldest player on the Premier Padel Tour (46 years old) — has always had a unique instinct for spotting talent. He was the one who once recognized the potential of a 19-year-old Coello, and later, of Mike Yanguas. So his opinion is worth listening to.
This time, his attention has turned to Juani, a 20-year-old, 1.86m tall, left-handed player who competes on the right side of the court. Already signed with NOX, he climbed to the top of the A1 Padel ranking in 2025, just weeks before the tour ceased to exist.
Be sure to watch his performance in the A1 Mexico Open 2025 final — it’s easy to see why many consider him one of the future stars of world padel.

GUSTAVO PRATTO’S PICK (COACH OF ARTURO COELLO)

Aimar Goñi
Current FIP Ranking – 97

A highly gifted and athletic player, standing 1.90m tall, Aimar has already made a name for himself on the international stage. This year, he caused a major upset by defeating Paquito Navarro at a tournament in Tarragona. He has already collected several FIP tournament victories.
Aimar now trains under Gustavo Pratto, coach of the world’s top-ranked pair. His game is marked by maturity and composure — all the more impressive considering that he just turned 20.

RODRI OVIDE’S PICK (COACH OF GEMMA TRIAY)

Rama Valenzuela
Current FIP Ranking – 63

Ramiro trains under Martín Canali, the same coach who works with Agustín Tapia, and at only 20 years old, he’s already making a name for himself on the Premier Padel Tour.
He has a contract with the prestigious brand NOX, which speaks volumes about the recognition of his potential.
Take note of how even one of the world’s top pairs — Chingalan — struggles to play against this young talent. It seems we’re looking at one of those players who will soon be challenging the global elite.

THE PEOPLE’S CHOICE

Leo Augsburger
Current FIP Ranking – 14

One meter ninety of pure power — that’s the best way to describe Leo, arguably the owner of the most destructive smash in the entire tour.
Men’s padel is rapidly evolving toward a faster, more aggressive style, and in that context, Leo’s potential is crystal clear.
The stats speak for themselves: he turns 64% of lobs into attacking shots (the tour average is 25%), and wins the point outright in 47% of those attacks (average: 28%).
A true smash machine, no doubt about it!

THE REALITY

Arturo Coello & Agustín Tapia
Current FIP Ranking – 1

As much as we might want to see new faces on the throne, the reigning champions are simply too good. Let’s not forget — they’re still young: Arturo is 23 and Agustín is 26, both capable of maintaining top-level form for at least another decade.
Moreover, they know exactly how to use their status as leaders, applying maximum pressure in key moments of matches.
That’s why dethroning these “golden boys” will be an almost impossible task — at least for the foreseeable future.
